Opportunities to Educate Children

OEC’s tutoring status system represents an opportunity for tutors to showcase their commitment to our mission, and your status is something taken under consideration during board applications and site placements. The three statuses and their minimum requirements are as follows:

 

OEC Educator

• Consistently attends tutoring sessions with a maximum of 2 excused absences per semester

• Attends at least 1 learning session a semester 

• Attends 3 monthly meetings a semester​

OEC Tutor

• Consistently attends tutoring sessions with a maximum of 3 excused absences per semester 

• Attends at least 1 learning session a semester

• Attends 2 monthly meetings a semester

Active Tutor

• Consistently attends tutoring sessions with a maximum of 3 excused absences per semester

• Attends at least 1 learning session a semester 

• Attends 1  monthly meetings a semester
